Tomorrow's World (2000)

Concept and creative process

Opening titles for ‘Tomorrow’s World’, a long-running series which looked at recent developments in technology as well as future trends, presented by Philippa Forrester and John Snow. The sequence began with a brief excerpt from Bob English’s iconic 1995 ‘Tomorrow’s World’ titles and its memorable image of the baby underwater and ended with a return to the same image as the background to the programme title credit. The middle section was composed of objects displayed as if in a virtual museum and a menu/trail of upcoming items in the current programme.
