Tomorrow's World (1997)

Concept and creative process

Opening titles for ‘Tomorrow’s World’, a long-running series which looked at recent developments in technology as well as future trends. The 1997 titles were a re-working of Bob English’s iconic 1995 ‘Tomorrow’s World’ titles and its memorable image of the baby underwater, looking out at its future world. This image was woven into the scenario for this version throughout, composited over a building façade, reflected in a satellite dish and also inside the human body as part of a CGI sequence. It was also keyed over different locations, flying over an arid landscape and even weightless in space above the Earth.
