Three Of A Kind (1981)

Concept and creative process

Opening titles for a comedy sketch show starring comedians Tracey Ullman, Lenny Henry and David Copperfield. The titles were designed and produced on the BBC Ceefax system as a quick and cheap way of simulating computer graphics, which was in its infancy and very expensive at that time in the early eighties. The Producer/Director was Paul Jackson, who later became Head of Light Entertainment at the BBC and then at ITV. The series was winner of the BAFTA award for best entertainment show and won a Rose of Montreux.
