Tales from the MasterChef Kitchens (2000)

Concept and creative process

Opening titles for programmes in which Loyd Grossman relived the best moments from 'Masterchef' and 'Junior Masterchef', and gave fascinating insights into what had happened to some of those memorable contestants. The series was retrospective in nature, so it made sense to re-use the titles from the 1990 series of ‘MasterChef’, with its slow-motion shots of egg whites and yolks falling ultimately into a bowl of flour, as the centrepiece of the sequence, surrounded by clips of celebrities who had appeared on the past shows.
