Take Two (1989)

Concept and creative process

Titles for a series, hosted by Philip Schofield, where children posed questions directly to those who made their favourite shows. The opening sequence consisted of a montage of TV clips of popular logos and channels, composited digitally over a background of TV ‘shash’ with a central countdown icon. This resolved into a circular 2D element which contained still frames of TV shows, while yet more clips animated from behind it, flying towards camera and exiting screen. The circular element finally resolved into the ‘Take Two’ programme logo prepared on a Quantel paintbox.
