Spy Trap (1972)

Concept and creative process

The accoutrements of spying proved a rich source of inspiraton for the designer. A six way split screen provided a framework for live action shots of various espionage related activities, while following and ultimately closely observing an unidentified individual as he walks through the city streets. Pre-timed to the music, this optical sequence delivers pace and visual intrigue in full measure. Filmed at Caravel Film Services.

Cameraman - Alan Taverner.

Designer/Director Dick Bailey.

Winner Design & Art Direction Wood Pencil for Graphic Design 1972.
