Concept and creative process
Opening titles for a police drama series which ran from 1969 to 1976. The titles on the earlier ‘Softly Softly’ series, between 1966 and 1969, were more ambitious in design concept than this successor ‘Task Force’, which prioritised a sequence of establishing location shots featuring the cast and a superimposition of the logos, the episode title and writer’s credit.
