Concept and creative process
Titles for a one-to-one celebrity chat show series, hosted by Carol Smillie. For the title sequence a large matrix of continuously mixing images in all the colours of the rainbow was created from stills in a digital edit to form the moving background. High contrast close-up details of Carol Smillie’s eye, mouth, ear and hands were composited as a percentage over different angles and shots of the background matrix. For the finale the camera tracked out from an extreme close-up of her eye to a monochrome head and shoulders shot, with the background matrix receding and dissolving to a granular effect over the final composition.
