Concept and creative process
This is the specially shot endtitle background and logo for 'Silent Witness', a British television crime drama series, which focused on the work of a team of forensic pathology experts and their investigations into various crimes. The filming of the sequence involved shooting liquids within a tank with a mirror at 45 degrees. This enabled the tank to be lit without getting the lamps reflected in the water. 'Dettol' poured over a model of a spine and skull and into the water tank created abstract, atmospheric, skeletal liquid reflections of the 'body'. The music added greatly to the haunting effect. The sequence was designed and directed by Tom Brooks.
