Concept and creative process
Opening titles for ‘Shoulder to Shoulder’, a series of six plays tracing the history of the women's suffrage movement. A cut sequence of footage from the plays is intercut with typographic captions with a border in the purple and green suffragette colours, printed on laid paper and filmed on a rostrum camera.
