Shakespeare - The Animated Tales (1994)

Concept and creative process

Shakespeare's plays were animated in a variety of ways and voiced by well-known actors. The generic title was a caption foil blocked in gold and shot on a rostrum camera with a lighting effect fade in and out over a non-specific, out of focus textured background. The second caption for the play ‘King Richard III’ was a heraldic caption with an overlaid red cell and drop shadow.
