Concept and creative process
Opening titles for a series of educational dramas for children at schools and colleges. Three dimensional letters of the title ‘SCENE’, dramatically back lit, cast a deep shadow before them. The camera pans across a soft-focus close-up of the shadows and mixes to a wider shot of the deep shadows of the letters, which cues the camera to crane-up and pull focus to reveal the logo. The logo is then obscured by a gobo shadowing the key light which progressively reduces the lighting on the logo to zero.
