The Royal Institution Christmas Lectures (1992)

Concept and creative process

Title sequence for the annual BBC 'Royal Institution Christmas Lectures'. The theme of the lectures was chirality, the property of asymmetry and the characteristic of a structure that makes it impossible to superimpose itself on its mirror image, most immediately noticeable in the human hand. The sequence combines artwork and real objects with 3D computer generated objects and effects, seamlessly composited in post-production.
