Question Time (2001)

Concept and creative process

Opening titles for a topical debate in which guests from the worlds of politics and the media answered questions posed by members of the public. This sequence managed to incorporate a large volume of visual information into the 24 seconds before the cut to the full screen introduction to the panellists. It included the show’s presenter since 1994, David Dimbleby, the audience, live portraits of past panellists, questions, lots of question marks, a list of the many UK venues where the recordings had taken place and ultimately the programme title itself – all in one digitally edited, multi-layered Flame sequence.
