Play School (1967)

Concept and creative process

Opening titles for the classic series for pre-school children created by Joy Whitby which ran every weekday from 1964 until 1988. The show had several different titles during its run. This is the earliest black and white incarnation with music, simple animation and a voiceover: "Here's a house, here's a door. Windows: 1 2 3 4. Ready to knock? Turn the lock – It's Play School."
