Concept and creative process
‘The Planets’ documented the Solar System and its nature, formation, and discovery by humans during the space age. The series included a substantial amount of archival footage from both the United States and Soviet space programmes.
The title sequence, designed by Tim Goodchild, was finished on-line using a Flame at the Farm facilities house, blending real planetary archive footage with CGI.
