Concept and creative process
Dale Winton presented a programme in which the contestants were pets who tried to win prizes for themselves or their owners. For the series titles live pet animals were cast and assembled and filmed in a colour separation overlay studio. This enabled the backgrounds to be replaced with bright solid colours in the digital edit. That sequence cut onto a 3D computer animation of the revolving letters of the logo in close-up and the assembling of a prize winner’s blue rosette, which resolved into the programme title.
