Concept and creative process
Opening titles for Michael Aitken's comedy series set in the fictional coastal town of Flatby, starring Gwen Taylor. After the introduction of the programme logo, a sequence of high and ground level panning shots of the shops, businesses and residential properties bordering on the fishing harbour introduced the main characters in the series by means of irregular torn paper vignettes. The paper also created a textured layer which was laid over all of the background shots. The digital post-production was created on a Quantel Henry.
