A variation on the usual ‘Panorama’, this final broadcast of a number of 1970 election special editions of the programme was branded differently and accompanied by more stately music than normal. The map of Europe was a studio caption recorded live with the white titles superimposed from white on black 35mm slides from the production gallery, known as telejector slides or TJs. The zoom to the world map view was courtesy of the studio camera with the caption again superimposed from a TJ slide. The designer’s responsibility would have been to provide the studio map and the TJ slides.
