Oscar Peterson with his guests who play and talk about their music. The titles for ‘Oscar Peterson Invites’ were shot on a rostrum camera as a film montage of panning and tracking shots over still photographs of musical instruments, vignetted inside a black and clear high contrast close-up image of Oscar Peterson. At the end of the sequence, the camera pulled out to reveal more of Oscar as the title caption faded in.
