Concept and creative process
Opening titles for a series of programmes on Japan since 1945. The titles featured production footage distorted in perspective as the camera flew over a variety of Japanese landscapes from the sea to the mountains, with the metropolitan and industrial complexes in between, bookended by the Nippon logo and the title and map of the 5 main islands.
