Titles for a sitcom series written by Carla Lane. Felicity Kendal stars as the mistress of Luke, played by Jack Galloway who is married to Helen, played by Jane Asher. The title sequence comprised a series of paintings of famous historical mistresses, notably including Madame de Pompadour and Nell Gwynne. The paintings were vignetted in a decoratively drawn oval frame and filmed with superimposed credits on the rostrum camera.
