Concept and creative process
Titles for a detective drama series featuring Agatha Christie's unassuming amateur sleuth solving a series of murders. The sequence of beautiful illustrations of the village houses, activities and inhabitants was re-used from the version of 7 years before, but with subtle changes. Colour was subtly introduced in the brick of the buildings and the foliage of the trees and some new growth. The inhabitants too have got older and plumper and have adopted new headgear or a new hairstyle or acquired a new bicycle. The camera moves and timings to the original music are all identical, but in time honoured detective story tradition the audience is being encouraged to keep a look out for clues.
