Concept and creative process
Opening titles for a series of documentaries which looked at various people, places and events around the United Kingdom. The title sequence was a painted cel animation over a three-dimensional background illustration of the British Isles, filmed on a rostrum camera. The animation was timed to the lyrics of the title song, with the zoom through the inquisitive stranger’s magnifying glass taking the audience to the specific UK location for each episode.
