Laugh Attack (1986)

Concept and creative process

Four talented comedians - David Copperfield, Duncan Norvelle, Jeff Stevenson and Roy Walker - presented a fun-packed half hour of zany humour. The titles were used as a visual introduction to the comedians using stills in the four corners of a grid. The live studio picture wiped out from centre frame for an individually named introduction to Copperfield, Stevenson and Walker. Duncan Norvelle was then flown in on a wire to a seat in the audience, while his colleagues took pretend pot shots at him with toy rifles. The ‘Laugh Attack’ logo, peppered with bullet holes, reinforced the joke.
