Concept and creative process
Titles for ‘Kino - Shorts’, an introduction to the month's classic European movie, which, as part of BBC Knowledge's language learning service, was shown uncut and without subtitles. A number of shots of architectural detail of a blue-tinted European-style building provided the backgrounds for a film leader countdown and the ‘Kino’ logo projected onto the stone façades. The effects were created in post-production with still photographs and the film leader composited on them at a matching angle.
