Opening titles for a drama serialisation of the Sir Walter Scott classic novel. King Richard the Lionheart was being held captive in Austria, but his evil brother Prince John was refusing to pay the ransom. Heroic Ivanhoe, sought ways to raise the money. The designer created some simple regalia based on Richard the Lionheart’s flag and filmed the flags live action as a symbolic way of setting the scene.
