Concept and creative process
The opening titles for a selection of BBC ‘Holiday’ programme destinations from the archives. The designer took a fantasy approach to the subject and shot a stills sequence of a person on a railway platform, turning his head to reveal the goggles he is wearing. In post
production these shots were alternated between black and white positive and negative, the goggles became screens for holiday destinations and a colourful spider was keyed over the action both inside and outside of the goggles, together with live action of the high-speed train passing non-stop through the station.
