Titles for a series in which Ruby Wax hits the streets to hunt out people who are interesting.
The title sequence is a surreal mixture of imagery so full of detail that it is necessary to go through it almost frame by frame in order to appreciate it fully. It is wild and wacky but is certainly hard to ignore and once seen, it leaves you wondering what on earth it’s all about!
It owes a debt to the work of the Czech surrealist filmmaker and animator, Jan Svankmajer, but so do many other filmmakers like Terry Gilliam. Ruby Wax’s titles are in good company. It is beautifully executed and choreographed in a digital post-production edit.
