‘Get Your Own Back’ was a hugely popular long-running children’s programme that endured for 14 series from 1991 until 2004. The premise of the children's gameshow was to create an opportunity for a child to "get their own back" on an adult, who in their eyes had committed some crime (always trivial) for which they wanted revenge. The end result for the adult was invariably a dunk in a gunk tank.
