Concept and creative process
Opening titles for a documentary series of special programmes looking at important human issues in specific city locations. Essentially, apart from a modified end caption, this was the same title sequence that was produced for the 1983 series, with rotating spheres within spheres transporting the viewer from the universe, to our galaxy, to our planet. At the end of the sequence our planet was enveloped by a labyrinthine logo formed from a letter E and its mirror image revolving together to create a mandala, symbolising the mystery of spirituality.
