Concept and creative process
‘DRAMA 2' was a short sting designed to preface and brand a strand of plays on BBC2. Various symbols representing drama themes were embedded in clear resin letterforms spelling out the word ‘DRAMA’, which were then rotated in front of camera using a mechanical rig and filmed in real time against a black velvet background. The title shot revealed the letters standing arranged in order. The 2, in the shape of the BBC 2 logo, formed by strips of coloured resin, mixed on in the foreground to complete the title.
