Count Dracula (1977)

Concept and creative process

A mysterious landscape illuminated by flashes of lightning, a stained glass image of bodies impaled on stakes, the title in bas-relief on a plaque and the actress Susan Penhaligon in a coffin, were the gothic ingredients with which Dick Bailey created the titles for Count Dracula. Winner of a Design & Art Direction Wood Pencil for Television Drama Titles 1978.
