Opening title sequence for a dramatisation of A. J. Cronin's 'The Citadel', starring Clare Higgins, about a newly qualified G.P. who arrives at Drineffy, full of enthusiasm, only to have his expectations shattered. A long panning shot over a pharmacy shelf filled with period bottles of medicines, tinctures and salves provided a background to a vignette containing the opening credits and live action scenes of the doctor’s duties taken from the production.
