Opening titles for a Christmas variety special with a host of stars from BBC Television. The title sequence consisted of a stock night shot of the exterior of BBC Television Centre and a credit sequence filmed on a rostrum camera over a simple animation background of twinkling stars. It had none of the razzmatazz compared to how such show openers are done nowadays – all quite formal.
