Concept and creative process
Titles for a drama series about the staff and patients at Holby City Hospital's emergency department, charting the ups and downs in their personal and professional lives. A relatively complex title sequence post-produced and choreographed on Flame. Live action shots of people and hospital equipment were edited together in a fast-moving defocused montage as a background layer over which some parts of shots are seen more clearly through fragments of broken glass flying in slow-motion through the air. The programme’s logo is revealed at the end of the sequence as the broken shards of glass come together to re-form the logo and conclude an intriguing and dramatic opener for the long-running hospital drama series.
