Concept and creative process

Titles for a drama series about the staff and patients at Holby City Hospital's emergency department, charting the ups and downs in their personal and professional lives. Basically, live action production footage was used to produce the title sequence. The images were colourised and manipulated in post-production with the additional introduction of a mosaic like grid pattern, in which partial elements of the footage were allowed to retain their natural colour. As in previous series, the ‘Casualty’ logo, designed originally by Iain Greenway, was retained for the continuity of the brand.
