Concept and creative process
Danny Baker hosts a comedy panel game which features two celebrity teams who are asked questions about various fads from the past. The designers’ own memory bank produced a visual analogy for the game’s trivia questions, recalling their own fad for collectible plastic toys found in cornflakes packets. The toy submarine becomes the hero of the title sequence, appearing in a number of different scenarios of fads from the past, from cocktail garnish to bath toy to lava lamp. It was filmed live action with visual effects and animated and composited in post-production.
