Concept and creative process
Titles for ‘The Borderers’, a series written by Bill Craig, set in the 16th century in the lawless border area between England and Scotland. ‘The Borderers’ dealt with an ordinary family the Kers, trying to make a life in a world in which violence and feuds were unavoidable. The time of tension and nationalism was reflected in the opening title sequence in the use of the saltire, the flag of Scotland, as a background to the principal opening cast credits.
