Concept and creative process
This dramatic crime scene, revealed in the camera flashes of a police photographer crouching left of frame, tells the story of a violent crime that has been committed. Nothing has been disturbed. A hat stand lies where it fell, a chair has been overturned, books are scattered about on the floor and the phone is off the hook. Of the hapless victim, the '2', only the chalk outline remains to indicate where it ended up following the fatal struggle. A whole scenario revealed in 4 seconds, which could be eminently well used to preface any sort of police drama.
