BBC One Rhythm & Movement - Tap Dogs ident (2002)

Concept and creative process

'Rhythm & Movement' was the theme for all BBC One idents from 2002 to 2006, designed and produced by the Lambie-Nairn branding agency. It was explored through a great variety of activities from t’ai chi to tap dance, from skateboarding to salsa. The concept behind the idents was a celebration of people from all walks of British life, filmed in many locations throughout the UK, coming together to share a joint activity, which featured the BBC One brand colour red. The ident ‘Tap Dogs’ was filmed inside Littlebrook Power Station in Kent and featured six members of the dance troupe Tap Dogs performing a tap routine dressed in red T-shirts.
