Concept and creative process
To promote the screening of the Christmas 2011 premiere of ‘The Gruffalo’s Child’ on BBC One a special BBC ident was created by Magic Light Pictures and Studio Soi. The scenario featured the Gruffalo tobogganing with his child through a snowy forest landscape and landing in a snowdrift, leaving behind a circular hole as the background over which the BBC One logo animated on, while the Gruffalo played with his child.
