Concept and creative process
An Ident for History, part of a package of idents and stings to brand a culture strand on BBC Knowledge. For this ident a scenario was filmed live action depicting the discovery, raising and opening of a sea chest recovered from the ocean floor. When the lid is opened a bright mysterious light emanates from within the sea chest and the History logo explodes onto the screen like the Big Bang moment of the creation of the Universe.
