BBC Design Awards (1996)

Concept and creative process

Opening titles for a programme covering the competition to find the best of British design, decided by public vote. The concept for the title sequence showed the design of a logo for the competition in different stages of development and completion, from a 2D representation of the finished layout on a drawing board, surrounded by some of the essential design tools, to a 3D rendering in colour and textures, to the final monochrome version used as part of the set design. The artwork was captured and animated on a Quantel Harry.
