Many of our further education (FE) students stay at Ravensbourne to study for their undergraduate (UG) BA or BSc (Hons) degree.
If you are studying one of our foundation or access diploma courses and would like to stay and complete your degree at Ravensbourne, our FE to UG (F2D) progression scheme offers you the opportunity to progress seamlessly.
You can apply directly to Ravensbourne via a short and simple application form, and we’ll do the rest for you. Providing you pass your further education course, you’ll guarantee your place at Ravensbourne for your degree.
If you choose to stay at Ravensbourne, you'll also be eligible for the Internal Progression Award, which is worth £500.
If you have any questions relating to further education to undergraduate progression, please email [email protected] and we will be more than happy to help.
Throughout the year we’ll be hosting a number of events, information sessions and drop-ins for those interested in internal progression at Ravensbourne. We also encourage you to ask your further education tutors any questions you might have. There will be opportunities throughout the year to meet your UG course team, as well as other students.
Your further education tutors will tell you all about the options available, and there will be workshops and taster lectures with the undergraduate courses to help you decide.
We encourage you to explore the course options; you can find a lot of information on the Ravensbourne undergraduate course pages. You could also attend one of our virtual open days for more course information.
The internal progression award is a one-off amount of £500 paid at the end of January during your first year on your undergraduate course at Ravensbourne.
This award is available to new undergraduate students who have progressed directly from a foundation diploma or access course at Ravensbourne in the previous academic year.
Please contact [email protected] if you would like more information about the award.
If you would like to stay at Ravensbourne, there is no need to apply through UCAS. However, if you’d like to apply for more than one university, then you’ll need to do a UCAS application.
To include Ravensbourne as one of your choices, you’ll need our UCAS institution code, which is R06.
Our admissions team will be in touch to confirm we’ve received your application, and will provide you a link to the student portal. You will login using your existing Ravensbourne login details. In the portal you will see the details of your offer and can accept the offer to secure your place.
If you haven’t received your login details, or you’re having trouble logging in, contact our admissions team and they’ll be able to help. Let them know you are an internally progressing student. Their contact details are:
E: [email protected]
T: 020 3040 3703
Please let our Admissions team know if you have changed your mind about how you are applying (directly or through UCAS), or you would like to change the course you are applying for. One of the team will liaise with you to make appropriate changes to your application and let you know if there's anything else we require from you.
Please also let your FE tutor know if you are making any changes to your application, to keep them updated.
If you decide to apply through UCAS, this will override your direct application. We will process your application via the UCAS process. You will see any updates to your offer via UCAS Track.
We will be hosting some information and drop-in sessions about things like student finance, accommodation and support services throughout the Spring and Summer terms. We'll let you know the details of these.
For an introduction to how student finance, you can watch our student finance explainer on Ravensbourne's Youtube channel.
Alternatively, you can email Student Services who will be more than happy to help.
