Ravensbourne students have impressed industry and fashion media guests at an official catwalk show at London Fashion Week 2023.

Held on Saturday 10 June in central London, the packed, invitation-only event was attended by a mix of VIP fashion guests, including press, stylists, fashion houses, influencers, and professional models.

A total of 15 third-year BA (Hons) Fashion students presented their final collections at the event, with each showing five looks.

They were selected by an industry panel to present at the show, which was part of the official London Fashion Week 2023 schedule, approved by the British Fashion Council (BFC).

It was followed by a VIP Drinks event, hosted by Ravensbourne’s vice chancellor, Andy Cook, where work from our BA (Hons) Fashion Buying and Brand Management and BA (Hons) Fashion Promotion students was on display for guests.

The show was pulled together with the help of a creative team from The Only Agency, whose other creative partnerships include the likes of Chanel, Bvlgari, Givenchy, Fendi, and more.

Professional Stylist Emily Evans helped pull the collections together into a single, cohesive show. The Hair Lead for the show was Pete Burkill and the Make Up Lead was Maria Comparetto.

Professional industry photographers and videographer also attended. Backstage photography was done by Jason Lloyd Evans and backstage video by James Thompson. Creative Capital, a society run by our film and TV students, livestreamed the event on social media.

Special thanks also go to Gurmit Matharu, our head of BA (Hons) Fashion, and Chloe Culpin, from our in-house creative agency CreativeLab, for organising the event.

Attending fashion press included the Evening Standard Fashion, Show Studio, Browns, Perfect Magazine, Womenswear Daily (WWD), and more. Talent teams from fashion houses, including COS, also attended.
