Vincent Kavanagh alumni on the Digital Film Production course

Vincent Kavanagh

Biography

Since graduating in 2018, Vincent is taking the film production world by storm, becoming both a creative producer and writer.

He works at the creative production studios, Studio Hansa in London where he works with the likes of The BBC, Sky, Google and MTV.

Vincent believes his career success came about because of the support he was given whilst at Ravensbourne - it was during this time that he developed the skills and confidence he needed to succeed in industry.

While on the course he was also inspired by talks given by former students about their own experiences, which enabled him to envision a similar future for himself.

He also had the opportunity to learn how to use the university's industry-standard studio equipment, which gave him valuable experience of the sorts of technology used in production studios.

Commenting on this he said: "Without Ravensbourne, I would not be where I am today. It gave me a platform to discover my own path, and the encouragement to pursue what I wanted to go after.”

His advice to other students is: “trust yourself, and follow what feels right to you. Comparing yourself to other people can be a nasty trap to fall into, everyone has their own path.”
