To help you prepare for starting the course please complete these three short introductions to Linux Fundamentals

You may also find it useful to purchase and start reading the following book. We do not expect you to read the whole book prior to starting the course.

This course does not require specialist equipment other than a laptop.

During this week it is important that you attend your enrolment session to complete your in-person enrolment and become an official Ravensbourne University Student. Following this you will be able to attend induction sessions which will cover key information about studying at Ravensbourne and being a successful student. 

Wednesday 18 September: 11.00am - 12.00pm, online (invite will be emailed to you)

Friday 20 September: 10.00am– 4.30pm, room 904

All activities will take place at our main campus: Ravensbourne University London, 6 Penrose Way, London, SE10 0EW  

If you’re an international student, it is important that you attend in this week to complete your enrolment, get all the information you need to best prepare your for studying in the UK and meet fellow international students on your course. 

Wednesday 11 September: 12.00pm - 12.30pm - In-Person Enrolment

Once you have completed your in-person enrolment you will be able to attend one of our International Induction sessions. Please plan to spend the day on campus with us.

All activities will take place at our main campus: Ravensbourne University London, 6 Penrose Way, London, SE10 0EW  

Your teaching starts in the week commencing Monday 23 September. In your first semester you will have three teaching sessions each week taking place between 9.30am - 5.00pm.

Wednesday, 9.30am - 12.30pm, room 902 - R1 Building

Wednesday, 1.30pm - 4.30pm, room 212 - R3 Building

Friday,  9.30am - 12.30pm, room 905 - R1 Building

In addition to this you may be required to attend an English for Academic Purposes module during your first semester.

Occasionally your timetable might get updated due to a room or other change.

If you have any questions ahead of joining us, our online drop-in sessions will take place on Tuesdays and Fridays, 1.00pm - 2.00pm UK Time.
