Step into the world of editing and post-production and discover how raw footage is transformed into the films, television programmes and digital content we see on screen.
In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore the creative and technical skills behind post-production. You'll get practical experience using Adobe Premiere Pro to edit footage before being introduced to Adobe After Effects, where you'll experiment with compositing and animation.
You'll also explore different roles within the post-production industry and discover how editors and visual effects artists use technology, creativity, and storytelling to shape an audience's experience.

Who can attend?
This workshop is suitable for Year 12 to Year 13 students and Level 2 and Level 3 learners with an interest in film, television, editing, visual effects, content creation, and post-production.
What you'll do
During this interactive workshop, you'll:
- Explore the post-production industry and the different roles that bring content to life
- Deconstruct an existing edit to understand how it has been put together
- Discover the principles behind three-point editing
- Put your Adobe Premiere Pro knowledge to the test
- Complete a short editing challenge using Adobe Premiere Pro
- Get an introduction to Adobe After Effects and its role within post production
- Explore the basics of compositing and animation
- Create your own short After Effects piece
- Share and discuss your final work with the group
