The Trouble with Medicine (1992)

Concept and creative process

Opening titles for critical films about the impact of modern medicine on our lives. The idea was to illustrate the increasing distance of human interaction and greater reliance on technology in medical diagnosis. The graphics were a fusion of CGI animation with pen and ink illustrations by David Hughes, echoing the traditions of medical illustration with a modern twist.
